Carolyn I. Hale, M.D.
Started her practice in 1988 and is Board Certified in Dermatology.
She graduated from Linfield College with a Bachelor
of Arts degree. She received her Medical Degree from Oregon Health Science University where she
also completed her residency
program in Dermatology. She possesses a wealth of knowledge in Dermatology; areas of expertise include skin cancer
evaluations including computerized mole mapping, and advanced wound care. Dr. Hale has been practicing Dermatology in the
Salem/Keizer area since 1998. Dr. Hale volunteers at the Oregon Youth Administration and recently volunteered with Medical
Teams Northwest formally Northwest Medical International in Honduras. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology,
the Oregon Representative of Blue Cross Blue Shield, Active staff member at Salem Hospital and past President of Oregon Dermatology
Society. She is also very active with her church. When she is not practicing medicine, some of her personal interests include
traveling abroad, gardening, playing with her grandchildren and making music.
Joel A. James, PA-C,
Is the newest addition to our team. Joel received his Bachelor of Science from
the
University of Puget Sound in 1993 and his PA
degree from the University of Texas in 1996. He brings extensive experience in surgical and general dermatology. Joel comes to us
with 13 combined years of practice experience in both Dermatology and Primary Care. Joel served with the Army Reserves in Kuwait
where he managed a Dermatology Clinic and provided general to acute dermatological care to soldiers. We are pleased to have him on
board! When Joel is not practicing medicine, some of his personal interests include playing basketball, running and volunteering in
his church. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and 4 children.
